Fetterman Statement on Confirmation of Moshe Marvit to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission

WASHINGTON, DC – Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman today released the following statement after his constituent Moshe Marvit, of Pittsburgh, was confirmed to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission:

“Coal miners do some of the toughest work on Earth and have played a critical role in powering not just Pennsylvania’s regional economy, but also our nation’s. Their health and safety should be protected by the very best. That’s why I was proud to support the confirmation of my constituent and fellow yinzer, Moshe Marvit, to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission.”

“Moshe has been a tireless advocate for workers, fighting to make sure that everyone has a safe workplace and fair pay. I know how important it is to have people on the mine safety commission who prioritize workers over corporate profits. Moshe will be a champion for miners and their families, and I’m excited to see him get to work.”
