Fetterman Statement on National Security Supplemental

WASHINGTON, DC – Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman on Thursday released the following statement on negotiations surrounding the National Security Supplemental:

“I’ve been saying for months that we need to get a deal done to address the situation at the border and fully support Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan. We can’t let politics get in the way of this critical aid, and we’ve got to keep working on a path forward and get this done.

“I also strongly support including an amendment to the bill that pushes for a two-state solution in Israel and Palestine. But I also believe that to have lasting peace and a two-state solution, Hamas must be fully destroyed. I am working with my colleagues on an amendment to the national security supplemental that would include that precondition.”
